In her free time, she loves to try out different coffee spots around campus, binge watching shows (Scandal is her obsession right now), discussing pop-culture events, and baking. She is also a member of Stanford Women in Politics (SWIP) and the Arab Student Association (ASAS). This year, she is a student representative on the Community Board on Public Safety and the Stanford Student Enterprises’ Advisory Board. She has also served as Parliamentarian of the 23rd Undergraduate Senate and co-Chair of the 24th Undergraduate Senate through the ASSU.

On campus, she is a Frosh resident assistant, a Reunion Homecoming Team Leader, a Political Science peer advisor, and a research assistant with the department of Sociology. She has interned at the Library of Congress and the National Museum of African American History of Culture the last two summers. Her academic interests are primarily in Civil Rights and the carceral system, and she hopes to attend law school in the future to work on sentencing reform and prison abolition. She is excited to intern at the Stanford Center for Racial Justice this quarter with the dedicated staff and fellow interns.Īmira Dehmani | Amira (she/her) is a senior from Columbus, Ohio majoring in Political Science and pursuing a coterminal master’s degree in Sociology. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys dancing, reading classic novels, and watching movies with her family. Her academic inter ests include tribal law and constitutional law, and plans to attend law school in the future.

Also, she serves as Head of the Alaska Native Student Association (ANSA) and as an editor for the Stanford Undergraduate Law Review. She is a member of the Stanford American Indian Organization (SAIO) and Stanford Women in Politics (SWIP). Jade Araujo | Jade is a senior from Juneau, Alaska majoring in Political Science and minoring in Spanish.

Meet Our Fall 2023 Interns Each quarter, the Stanford Center for Racial Justice hosts part-time internships for Stanford University undergraduate juniors and seniors, graduate, and law students to support our work to address some of the most challenging problems in our country resulting from the history and persistence of racism.
